Phylis Mucheru is a one of the Founders of Verde Afrika. She is the head of Research, Expert Insights, Assessments and Materiality Review. She is passionate about working with companies and industry stakeholders to help them understand and measure their sustainability impact, and evaluate their commitment and performance across key impact areas. Ms. Mucheru’s passion for sustainability follows her beyond business districts corporate offices. She is happiest in the great outdoors and is an active member of local tour and environmental-protection groups.

As a Certified Public Accountant, Phylis draws on 7 years of industry experience in Credit Analysis, Financial Management, Business Analysis and Risk Management. This gives her unique insights that broaden her ability to guide organisations towards achieving their sustainability goals and regulatory requirements, especially in challenging and competitive business environments. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Kenyatta University and a Masters in Sustainability Accounting from Strathmore University
